What we collect and why
Enquiries, bookings and website messages collect the name, email address and information you provide to respond, discuss an engagement, and maintain the conversation. The legal bases are steps you request before a contract and legitimate interests in responding to general correspondence. Providing these details is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without them. Please avoid sensitive personal information in messages.
Newsletter consent
Notes from the Piano uses your email, selected interests and dated opt-in record to send a welcome email and occasional newsletters. This is based on your separate, optional consent. Enquiry and chat details are not added to the marketing list. You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in subscriber emails or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential storage supports secure administration, the website conversation you request and your consent choices. Remembering music preferences between visits is optional. Embedded videos load only when you select Play. No advertising or website analytics trackers are installed by this website. See the cookie and storage notice and use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choices.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the site and its access-controlled database and processes request information for delivery and security. Sender processes consenting subscribers, newsletter delivery and email alerts. Telegram receives enquiry notifications and website chat names/messages so Chris can respond; website chat email addresses are not included in Telegram chat alerts. YouTube receives connection and device information when you choose to play an embedded video. These providers may process data outside the EEA. Contact us for information about provider locations, processing agreements and applicable transfer safeguards.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Contact us using the address above. We normally respond within one month; lawful extensions may apply and reasonable identity verification may be needed. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or the authority where you live or work.
Security and decisions
Access to the CMS is restricted. Conversation access is protected by a private browser token; keep shared devices secure and use Start a new conversation to remove that browser’s access. The optional information assistant gives labelled, predefined replies. The website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects or carry out behavioural profiling.
Retention
Enquiry and conversation records are retained while needed to respond, maintain an active conversation or arrange an engagement. Engagement records may be retained where required for accounting obligations or legal claims. Newsletter details are retained while you subscribe; after withdrawal, only the minimum suppression and consent evidence needed to honour your choice and establish compliance is retained. Contact us to request deletion or information about your specific record.
